Who does that? We had a 2nd date, had a great time and made tentative plans to have a 3rd date. The following day I left him a voice mail to thank him for dinner. He called me back a day after and says, “we need to talk”. We?????? When did we become a WE? I knew this is going to be new. He starts blabbing away about how nice I am and pretty etc…I couldn’t believe what this guy was saying. I don’t even know the guy, when did we get into a relationship? I wasn’t even sure if I was interested and who does that after a 2nd date??? He went on and on for 20 minutes. He didn’t even hear me say,” that’s ok dude, I’m not seeing wedding bells”. He continued with his speech. Finally, I raised my voice and say STOP talking! I felt like I was in a 5 year relationship and I was being let down easy. He kept me on the phone for so long that I said,” Why are you still on the phone with me”. A simple phone call with, “it was nice to meet you but I’m not interested in seeing you again” would have been enough. Seriously Dude, RELAX!
