This guy emailed me on MySpace, asking me if I recall chatting with him awhile ago on match.com, and telling me that he wasn’t sure how we lost touch. I didn’t want to be rude and ignore him, so I wrote him back.

I do remember chatting briefly. People lose touch with online dating all the time. Sometimes there’s no connection. What can you do? Take care.

I think that was pretty clear that I wasn’t interested right? Apparently NOT! Because his response was,

so are you saying that you’re not interested in chatting? Don’t want to be a bother if that’s the case…

Is he seriously asking me that right now? Ok, well I guess my email wasn’t clear so I tried again.

You’re not a bother. I’m just not interested in dating you.

 Now that should do it right? Ehhh, WRONG! Guess again! He wrote back. How does this guy still not get it????

 Fair enough, but I’m just curious. How can you say that without communicating with me and getting to know me in the least bit?”

Why? Why is he doing this to himself? Am I supposed to be attracted to every picture that approaches me online? How much more clear can I be without being rude? Well, a girl has to do what she has to do. I wrote him back and said,

“You’re unattractive to me, you’re too short for me and the fact that you had to push me to this point clearly tells me what we are NOT a good match.          

I hope this answers his question on HOW. Needless to say, he stopped emailing me.
