It is a glorious day today as my friend Kevin would say. I was checking my new friend requests on Myspace and BK emailed me asking me to get to know me better and in hope of taking me out for a drink. His main photo is a picture of Brass Knuckles. I thought maybe that’s an inside joke among his friends and I proceeded to check out his profile before responding. This was the ONLY picture this guy has posted, with the song titled Daterape in the background and Tom as his ONLY friend. Is he serious? NEXT!!!!!!!

 I was set up on a blind date the other day. This guy wasn’t really my type. I didn’t mind meeting him at his place because he wanted to show me his condo on the beach and he was proud of settling in, in such a short period of time from moving to LA from the East.  When I got there he was wearing jeans and a white button down shirt. After walking around his place I noticed he had bloodstains on his shirt. Not a lot, but enough for me to see it and point it out to him. When I did, he didn’t think it was a big deal and was still determined to wear that out. That’s when I had my first thought to say are you serious? Some how I managed to convince him to change. Valentine’s Day! What does this day really mean? If you’re a couple, then V-day should be every day, wouldn’t you agree? And if you’re single, then this is the day when all the singles get together at a bar and try to connect with someone, in hope of celebrating this day together next year.My single girlfriends and I decided to go to a Cupid party in hope of making a “connection.” This bar had a singles party where the girls received a plastic heart to wear around their necks and the guys received keys. The goal was for the guys to use their key to unlock a girl’s matching heart. Of course, the girls get to approach the guys, too, to find that key. I thought there was a slight possibility for me to meet a guy here. Especially when he may even have the key to my heart! I wore dark jeans and a yellow top. The yellow was to stand out among all the other girls that would be wearing red. Plus, it was an additional conversation piece. Besides, it’s my lucky color.

 This guy emailed me on MySpace, asking me if I recall chatting with him awhile ago on match.com, and telling me that he wasn’t sure how we lost touch. I didn’t want to be rude and ignore him, so I wrote him back.

I do remember chatting briefly. People lose touch with online dating all the time. Sometimes there’s no connection. What can you do? Take care.

 I was emailed on Yahoo personals but this very handsome guy. He was in his late 20’s, tall, fit and he had dark hair and brown eyes.  His pictures were very attractive and it was hard to believe that he looks like that. We exchanged several emails and got to know each other a little. One day he emailed me with his personal email address because his membership was expiring and he was going to take a break from the personals.

With that we continued to chat on our personal email address and a few days after the exchange he finally asked me out on a date. I was so nervous and haven’t logged on to Yahoo personals in sometime that I decided to see if he has more picture on myspace to see if that is in fact the same good looking guy.

I immediately looked at his page and lucky for me the page was public for everyone to see. After surfing his page for a few minutes, I found an interesting surprise.

Status: In a RELATIONSHIP   WTF?!?!???!? Ok so maybe it might be an error and he hasn’t corrected it since his past girlfriend, when I emailed him asking about it, he NEVER wrote me back.  Is he serious? Dude, if you’re going to be a “player” at least LEARN how to play the game!
