Three years ago I worked for a large retail company. I had a crazed receptionist who accused two of my employees of sexual harassment within her first two weeks. When I called HR to investigate, she accused me of sexual harassment. Company policy was for HR to fully investigate all claims, so my employees and I were interviewed. The rumors flew around the company and I was humiliated to say the least. After HR found zero evidence of any sexual harassment, I was given the nod to “get rid of her”. Two weeks later I fired her after her managers had written her up on numerous occasions. This past weekend she emailed me. You wouldn’t believe her request, I posted it below.
HER: hey you, how are you??? Long time no talk. Hope your having a great dayat work! ME: i’m doing good just here at work. Surprised your talking to me after I fired you… HER: Well, that was a while ago. When you taking me out? ME: taking you out sounds weird and inappropriate since I fired you and I now have a gf, but thanks HER: a new one? lol thats cool. damn you men move quick. lol. well thats great I wish you best of luck. We could have had some fun…
Fun? Is she serious? I didn’t have fun when she accused me of sexual harassment.
